An Adventure through New England
Recently, one of our team members, Sarah, took an adventure to Rhode Island and Connecticut! You may have noticed, all of our team members love spending time by the ocean! Check out what cool adventures she went on during her trip!
Day One- Rhode Island & Connecticut
Day one started off in Westerly, Rhode Island at Sift Bake Shop, a french pastry shop. She and her family loved the raspberry chocolate croissant, blueberry muffin, and ham and cheese croissant. After walking around the harbor, they headed to the Velvet Mill to get sourdough bagels from the Flour Shop- these bagels were incredible and sell out fast! After a walk around town, they headed into mystic for the rest of the evening. If you go to Mystic, stop at Drawbridge Ice Cream! They have unique flavors and vegan flavors made with coconut milk!
Day Two- Rhode Island
The entire day was spent in Newport, Rhode Island at the Tennis Hall of Fame Open. Sarah checked out the tennis museum, watched an interview with Patrick McEnroe, and was able to see three quarterfinals matches with top 50 players. The hall of fame grounds were a beautiful New England vibe complete with cedar shakers, hydrangeas, and grass courts. To fuel the ride home, they stopped at the Nitro Bar for matcha, fresh pressed watermelon lemonade, and coffee!
Day Three- Rhode Island
Sarah and her family kicked off the day touring The Breakers- a Vanderbilt mansion. The mansion has breathtaking views of the ocean as well as incredible detail in each room (silk fabric for wallpaper, marble walls, murals, and even a salt water tub). The famous cliff walk is right outside gates, so they walked along the ocean taking in the water and the old mansions along the cliff. For a good ooh and ahh, they drove along Ocean Drive, gasping at the huge mansions. Fortunately, they stumbled upon Brenton Point State Park where people were picnicking, flying kites, and taking dips in the ocean.
Day Four- Connecticut
Long walks, exploring the area, and enjoying the campground were on the agenda for the day! The Summer Vibes granola paired perfectly for this day of adventures!
