Five fruits in season: Fun ways to use them

Happy July (a few weeks late)! A new summer month means new fresh fruit and new recipes to make. Figuring out what to do with an abundance of fruit can be hard sometimes; you might be sick of eating them straight-up or maybe you have too many left over from a party and don't want to waste them. Here are a few fun and different ways to use your fresh fruit this summer!

Raspberries (red or black)-  You can make a raspberry vinaigrette to top off your summer salads or even use it as a marinade for different meats.

Blueberries- Sick of classic PB&J sandwiches? Try putting some blueberries on your peanut butter sandwich for a healthier and different option!

Melons- Watermelon or cantelope can be used in a melon and cucumber salad. It is the perfect refreshing treat for a hot summer day!

Peaches- I don't know about you, but I love a sweet and salty dish. Throw some peaches on the grill to really enhance the sweetness and use them to top off your salads or other dinner entrees!

Cherries- Puree some frozen cherries, add in some water and your choice of natural sweetener to make the perfect treat to cool down in the middle of a summer day!
