Worth It. The Launch of our Digital Cookbook!
Just in time for the holidays- a new gift comes from the allergen-friendly, nutrition-forward Tucker and Co Bakery: a digital Cookbook full of some of their best-selling treats and baked goods: Worth It. We caught up with founder and cookbook author Heidi Tucker to get the scoop on why she wanted to create this project and what we can expect to see inside!
- What led you to create this project? Not only would we like to share our recipes with customers, but also with people who may live far away and will most likely not be able to come to our cafe and experience our treats in person. I’ve had the idea of cookbook creation on my mind for a long time and thought a mini digital cookbook could be the easiest way to dip my toes in the waters of cookbook creation! It also offers another stream of revenue for our business so that we can continue to be sustainable into the future!
- What is your favorite recipe included? Ugh! It’s hard to decide on a favorite! Our waffle recipe is in there- and- when you’re gluten free, you can’t just get gf pancakes or waffles anywhere; so you have to make your own. When we came up with our waffle recipe I just loved it so much. Now I want to share it with everyone to create in their homes too! Our baked oatmeal recipe is also in there and a really great breakfast item! You’ll find 3 muffin recipes-I really love the banana chocolate chip muffin. I guess I’m saying, it’s hard to pick a favorite!
- What is unique about your recipes? What’s unique about these recipes is that they are all gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. That means we use either coconut sugar, honey, maple syrup or date syrup to sweeten everything; even the chocolate chips we source are sweetened without refined sugar. Our book also includes a resource page with links to our favorite ingredients/where we source them! When I develop the recipes, they’re geared toward being both delicious and nutritious. Rather than being baked goods full of empty calories, each recipe includes nutrients that are good for us.
- Do you see yourself creating more cookbooks in the future? I definitely would be interested in making a physical copy of a bigger book of a larger collection of recipes. We are new to the whole process and are learning the ins and outs of creating a cookbook. I would love for a next step goal to be a physical copy, possibly printed as a heavier magazine-style publication.I love the creating and the creativity of developing new recipes and coming up with new flavors. At the shop we can’t always have a huge variety of recipes in rotation, because everyone has their favorites and we can only make so much to sell at a time- so, creating cookbooks is another stream for my culinary creativity!
Worth It. is a collection of 12 recipes, developed by Heidi. They’re fan favorites as well as every-day staples you will want to have in your regular rotation! Whether looking for more variety at breakfast, a convenient snack for on-the go, or an evening treat, these recipes are for you! Head to https://www.tuckercobakery.com/cookbooks to purchase your own copy! We can’t wait to hear which is your favorite.
